This 160 square meter home, just outside of Krakow, Poland, is the architectural genius of Stabrawa Design. The refined modern aesthetic and freely flowing spatial organisation is finished off with their signature design aesthetic.

The design firm has vast experience across various scales of residential design: apartments, studios, lofts, houses, villas, and the list goes on. Each of their projects is born out of a close relationship with the client's requirements and wishes. This ensures that the inhabitant's personality and lifestyle are inscribed in the home, rather than just applied with finishing touches.

Combining comfort with function, their homes are wonderful expressions of contemporary living and this one is certainly no exception. Let's take a closer look…

Bedroom

Bedroom is light and airy. and the patterns on the wall help giving the room another dimension.

Bright and open

Windows abound in this open plan abode, allowing ample light into the space. It is the light that forms one of the key design features in the home, a material itself.

Everything else is restrained: a monochromatic colour palette bears only a few pops of colour and decorative elements are certainly not overdone.

Kitchen and dining

The kitchen and dining are located adjacent the living space in the social heart of the home. The kitchen opts for a minimal design: white, handleless cabinetry and a black feature backdrop.

The dining arrangement is also simple. The black pendant light creates a focal point in the room that anchors the table and chairs in the small nook. Pictures line the back wall, and flowers the table, but aside from that decoration is minimal.

Mezzanine connection

Not only are the ground level spaces freely connected to one another, but the lower and upper levels are also connected by the mezzanine. The lofty double-height space in the foreground provides the perfect home for the living area, walled in by glass and privy to the home's best views. A patterned rug and feature fireplace provide some cosy, homely elements.

In addition to providing the perfect living environment to share family life, the seamlessly connected spaces are ideal for entertaining!

The bathroom

It's all about the materials in this sophisticated bathroom. The black and white tiles are contrasted by a rich timber behind the toilet.

Only the best in state of the art fixtures and finishes are found inside these four walls. And, the concrete vanity feature is a joy to behold!

The staircase

The stair connecting the lower and upper levels is no meagre transitional device. No, it's a grand and stylish designer masterpiece! The open timber treads are held in place by a striking steel structure. At the final landing, steel tensioned wires in a diamond configuration create the balustrade.

From start to finish, this home wows with design finesse, attention to detail, and impeccable style. It's hard to find any fault! if you enjoyed this tour, you may also like to take a look here: A stylish Milanese apartment
