Homes made from natural materials are some of our favourite homes to explore, and today, we want to show you a home of simply breathtaking stonework. The architect Bernardo Hinojosa built this house for a family and it is absolutely contemporary in style, but takes on a luxurious ambience with its use of impressive stone.

The home was developed with depth that has a compact design, an optimal use of space, a large garden–which never goes out of style–as well as a discreet colour scheme. To see the execution of this admirable decor, come with us and take the tour!

Big and daring

Our first look at this two-storey stone masterpiece leaves us in absolute awe. The beige and coffee tones of the façade, plus its differentiating volumes, create a one-of-a-kind look that imparts lavishness and sophistication. One of the most interesting design elements of this home are the various partitions–we see one to the left and one to the right of the entrance, and a low-lying partition in front. These partitions give the home a fortress-like appearance, as well as the interesting iron bars on the front face.

At night

Even at night, this home gives off an assertive yet classic aura. Bright spotlights ensure maximum security of the premises and cast interesting shadows on the structure, which allows us to see the brilliant texture of the stonework.

The floor plan

This home has a rectangular floor plan, which we can appreciate with this image. This plan and the arrangement of furniture were implemented to optimise space. The furniture is relatively simple and practically designed, but without renouncing comfort. In addition, it is friendly and lively, making for a totally relaxed and fulfilling atmosphere.

The kitchen

The living room transitions right into the kitchen, which impresses us with its contemporary design and use of high-quality materials. Marble was used in its most classic version with black and white grain. Together with the white furnishings, the high-quality natural stone is particularly effective without being intrusive.

Master bedroom

Let's take our last look of the home and go into the master bedroom. Bright walls convey a serene ambience and the elegant neutral furnishings support relaxation. The spacious bed is comfortably furnished and is rounded off with matching lighting and a decorative wall painting. This house is an ideal example of contemporary architecture, which combines aesthetics, functionality, and cosiness in the best way.

Here we are inside the stairwell looking at those iron grid we saw from the exterior. As a connecting element between the ground floor and the upper floor, it is staged by the special façade design. The glass is double-walled, providing great insulation.
