So often the design of the bathroom is relegated as a mere afterthought, given far less attention than the other spaces of the home. Small, badly planned and unstylish bathrooms are far too common an occurrence. In reality, however, it is an important space; when well-planned and beautifully finished, it can make all the difference to your abode.
Today we'll show you four renovation projects of four different bathrooms. Each project has been intervened in a different way. Whether a simple repainting, a change of furniture or a complete reorganisation – the change is radical! Let's take a look…
Before the makeover, the bathroom was in desperate need of a modernisation. The spaces were not well defined and the style was rather bland and dated. The design team from ILOFTYOU has made an impressive difference with a few simple touches. The bidet has been removed, increasing the space available; and, in place of the bathtub, there is a brand new walk-in shower. Separated from the rest of the bathroom thanks to a low wall, it is both practical and visually appealing. The new space is far more rational and modern.
This old house was not habitable: the property was in need of many interventions and the roof was unsafe. The architects have restored the home in a radical way, bathroom included.
The bathroom has become an elegant space, where one can retreat or enter the day anew in style. The bathtub is inviting and the choice of warm colours creates a welcoming and relaxing space.
This bathroom was outdated and obsolete. The tiles were yellowed and the style was stuck in a distant past. It was in urgent need of a makeover!
The colour palette is very elegant and sophisticated, and the look is decidedly contemporary yet warm and homely. The mosaic of earthy coloured tiles against the timber vanity works perfectly with the periwinkle feature wall. The result is a much more functional, cozy, and relaxing room.
The original bathroom was cramped and poorly organised. There was no clear layout and everything was in close proximity. And, from the aesthetic point of view, it was in dire need of a revamp.
The space appears as if it has been doubled! The decision to include the double sink is at once practical and luxurious. The large mirror amplifies the space and brightness. And, the bohemian chic imbues the space with a unique charm.
We have seen different types of interventions, some simple, some more radical: there are many ways to renovate your bathroom, even on a budget!
