This was a renovation over a 60 year old building in the downtown of Reynosa. The commission was to create an architectural identity for this Private School that was getting behind in infrastructure over the competition. His academic level is very high but it was necessary to work with the architectural image. We try to adapt the school building into the city’s problems that we face in the everyday life, so we tried to shut down the school as much as possible to the exterior context in order to make the kids feel that they are somewhere else safe and calm and also because this idea will help for physical protection not only psychological. We restructure the relationship between, the library and the kids, we try to merge together the most popular activities for the kids like the cafeteria and the computer labs together with the library that was detach from this activities. The visual and physical connection from the street to the interior of the school was also an issue, so we restructure the way people access to the school and the way kids prepare to leave it.
